During this special gathering, representatives from three of the ancestral traditions of the Sierra Nevada—the Kogi, Wiwa, and Arhuaco peoples—will share their sacred practices for restoring harmony and maintaining balance between humanity and Mother Earth. Participants will learn about Aluna Zhiguashi from the Kogi, who live in the high mountain regions of the Sierra; Aganguashi from the Wiwa, whose communities are located in the lower regions near the Caribbean Sea; and Gangabi from the Arhuaco, who inhabit the middle elevations and great plains of the Sierra Nevada. While each tradition has its own unique expressions and ceremonies, all share a common purpose: the purification of thoughts, emotions, and energies so that harmony may be restored within ourselves, our communities, and the living Earth.
Through the sacred practice of Aluna Zhigoneshi, participants are guided in recognizing and releasing thoughts, emotions, fears, worries, memories, and energetic burdens that contribute to imbalance within ourselves and the…
